Integration Solution of Wi-Fi HaLow: Optimizing connectivity for container logistics 

For cargo logistics, the primary mission is to ensure the intact delivery of goods to the correct destination. Therefore, the real-time monitoring and tracking of cargo during transportation to avoid any potential errors are crucial aspects. In this process, incorporating a Wi-Fi HaLow connectivity solution can significantly enhance the overall efficiency of data transmission. 

The following is our proposed solution that integrates AsiaRF’s Wi-Fi HaLow MM610X module with container logistics:

  1. RFID Reader built-in Wi-Fi HaLow module MM610X-001 (CLIENT) 
    Placing RFID tags on each item, installing RFID Readers inside containers, and incorporating the MM610X-001, powered by Morse Micro‘s MM6108 Wi-Fi HaLow SoC, allow the RFID data to be transmitted via Wi-Fi HaLow. This enables delivery personnel and logistics stations to track the goods, preventing misplacement or omissions of items. 
  1. NVR SYSTEM built-in Wi-Fi HaLow module MM610X-001 (AP)  
    Install an NVR SYSTEM in the cabin of the container truck, utilizing existing 4G and 5G connectivity along with the addition of the MM610X-001. This setup allows RFID information from within the container to be transmitted to a cloud NVR system, enabling delivery personnel to monitor the status of the cargo at any time.
  1. GPS TRACKER built-in Wi-Fi HaLow module MM610X-001 (CLIENT)  
    Install a GPS tracker on the exterior of the shipping container, incorporating the MM610X-001, to enable real-time transmission of location information even while the truck is in motion. This allows delivery personnel to promptly verify whether the container is misplaced and if the direction of travel is correct.

  • Standard Protocol: AsiaRF’s Wi-Fi HaLow is based on the IEEE 802.11ah open standard. 
  • Energy Efficiency: Wi-Fi HaLow’s low power consumption make it more suitable for long-distance operations, such as in container trucks.
  • Reduced Congestion: Wi-Fi HaLow experiences less interference in the sub-GHz low-frequency band, ensuring a stable connection for shipping containers even during transit. 
  • High Penetration: It exhibits outstanding obstacle-penetration capabilities, demonstrated to penetrate through two 30-centimeter steel plates in testing, allowing personnel to connect at any time to monitor the status of goods.
